GLOBE TOUR DAY 2
On Day 2 of the Globe tour, we started with a signing at Boogaloos at Canal Walk and also hit up the ledges in the loading bay. From there we went out to Stellenbosch skatepark where Haslam shut down the bowl and Appleyard was doing buttery-ass tricks all over the place. Spent some time out in Stellenbosch afterwards, hit up a secret spot, met some locals and spent the evening chilling at the Protea hotel.
GLOBE TOUR DAY 1
The first day of the Globe tour with Chris Haslam and Mark Appleyard was bad ass. The demo at Sport Unlimited went down at 12 and Appleyard was killing the spine, while Haslam took care of the tech combo business. Hit up Rafikis and a street spot after and ended up at Neighbourhood for the rest of the night. Not a bad start to the tour!
AFRICAN VACATION TOUR – DAY 9
The first African Vacation demo in Cape Town took place at the Sport Unlimited skatepark in Tokai on Friday 1 October. Unfortunately Andrew Brophy damaged his knee trying to ollie the double set at H-Street in town, so he was man down for the rest of the tour. But Chris Haslam, Ben Raemers and Ryan Decenzo totally killed that ramp! The craziest tricks went down man, I couldn’t believe my eyes! After the demo we hit up a pub in Newlands and then went through to town to party and Neighbourhood.

FINAL TEAM SEARCH EVENT CAPE TOWN
The final Team Search event went down this weekend at Sport Unlimited skatepark in Tokai, Cape Town. Loads of people came down to skate the brand new mini ramp and compete in the best trick jam. Some crazy stuff came out of that best trick jam and the 9 foot extension saw tons of action. In the end Will Twala took first place for a huge backside melon off the extension, amongst other things. The runners up were Quinton Robertson and Jean-Marc. There was also a comp to see who could 50-50 the ledge on the top of the mini all the way from the front to the end and Jean-Marc took the prize for that. The local skateboarders who will be representing Almost, Blind, Cliché, Darkstar and Enjoi will be announced over the next few weeks. Check back for more info and interviews coming soon! MINI RAMP MELTDOWN SKATECOMP 2
On Saturday 17 July the 2nd Mini Ramp Meltdown skatecomp went down at Sport Unlimited in Belville. The event was sponsored by Enjoi, Lakai and Sports Unlimited and it ended up being a super fun day! The skate comp consisted of a prize for the Best Trick as well as a prize for the Funnest Trick. It was awesome seeing the beginners division and super fun watching the Best and Funnest Trick comp. In the end Ettiene Kleinhands took Best Trick and Leon Bester took Funnest Trick with Jean-Marc Johannes coming in as a runner-up. There were free donuts from Enjoi, the Red Bull was flowing and loads of skateboarders came through to compete and support. The next Mini Ramp Meltdown will be held at the brand new Sport Unlimited ramp in Tokai. More details to follow…
