MOSES ADAMS INTERVIEW
on October 5, 2011
Well done on placing 17th in the Maloof Money Cup Pro Street. Did you have any expectations of how you would place before Maloof?
I just skated and saw what happened hey. In the first round, I came 5th and then in the finals I came 17th, so I don’t know how that happened, but I guess I just messed up.
How did you find the contest, skating against all the pro’s? Were you nervous, or did you just do your thing?
I was nervous, but it was just a really really big experience for me getting to skate with all the pro’s because they’re on another level, and they were impressed by my skating.
What were some of the highlights of your weekend, besides the Pro Street competition?
Well I stayed with Andrew for one night, and staying with my friends in the campsite. They were all partying and stuff. Apparently there was this one guy who got so drunk that he knocked himself out with a bottle.
What was your overall impression of the Maloof Money Cup?
I think that the way the whole event was run, the marble, the whole park, was really cool. I mean, where can you find a park like that here? It was unbelievable.
What are your plans for the rest of the year?
Well it would be nice to go on tour, and maybe go overseas again.

MALOOF MONEY CUP SUNDAY PHOTO GALLERY
on October 3, 2011
Photos from Sunday 2 September at Maloof Money Cup South Africa. The Am finals started off the day. Congratulation to Justus Kotze for winning the first prize of R20 000! Big ups to all the other guys who skated the comp too. The Pro Street Finals were intense and amazing to witness. The competition was super tight in the final show-down between Ishod Wair and Tommy Fynn, but Ishod managed to pull together a killer final run, which won him first prize. The day finished off with a best trick jam on the Mega Mini, and the first 900 in South Africa was landed.

MALOOF MONEY CUP SATURDAY PHOTO GALLERY
on October 2, 2011
Photos from Saturday 1 September at Maloof Money Cup South Africa. The morning started out a bit more relaxed, as the main events only started at around 1:30pm. The Pro Street Qualifiers kicked off the events, and 12 skaters were chosen to skate the finals on Sunday. Congratulations to all those involved. A special shout-out to Moses Adams and Dlamini Dlamini for representing South Africa among the pro’s. Moses placed 17th out of a huge number of riders, and is consistently featuring on the current international circuit.
The Mini-Mega contest was incredible to witness, with the top international vert skaters landing the most amazing tricks with consistency and effortless style. It was a super tight competition, with PLG taking the gold with more tricks than you could imagine.

MALOOF MONEY CUP FRIDAY PHOTO GALLERY

Photos from Friday 30 September at Maloof Money Cup South Africa. The energy and excitement for the event was already brewing at first light, with some people camping next the skate plaza since Wednesday. The South African skaters didn’t fail to impress in the Am Qualifiers, then the day just got even better with the Pro’s warming up on the street course, and ending with the Vert Pro Qualifiers.

DLAMINI DLAMINI INTERVIEW
on September 29, 2011
You were featured in the recent AV Skateboarding Issue 11 video. What were some of the highlights and lowlights of filming your part?
Yeah man, it was a real challenge for me. It was my first proper video part, so I was stoked on it. Highlights: Damn! Traveling around S.A. It was really cool. I got to skate a lot of different spots and met some rad new people. Chilled vibes. Lowlights: Getting busted by rent-a-cops and not landing a few of my tricks. That’s about it.
Take us through an average day in the life of Dlamini.
Man, I’m a very chilled guy. Everything’s about skating. Normally I wake up around 6. All 19 of my brothers and sisters make way too much noise before they go to school. From there, I usually call up homies and plan the day. If I’m not cruising through the city, I’m at the Revolution park. I’m always listening to music. Gotta have that Talib Kweli banging in my eardrum.
How do you feel about skating in the Pro division at the upcoming Maloof Money Cup? Any concerns or reservations, or are you just going to go out there and blow everyone away?
Too hyped! It’s going to be a good experience skating with the people I have looked up to all my life.
Do you have any plans for the rest of the year, like more filming, photo shoots, touring, etc.?
Leaving for California after Maloof. I’m really amped. When I’m that side I’m going to be skating in contests and pretty much just experiencing life over there.
