OUTSIDE EXHIBITION: PHOTO GALLERY

The much anticipated exhibition of street art / urban art, Outside, opened at 34FineArt in Woodstock last night. We were there to check it out. Painting by AME72.

It was really rad to be able to see the details of work by artists that alot of us having only ever seen on the internet or in print. Mixed media screenprint by Grafter.

Asha Zero. The South African artists really owned the show, holding their own amongst some of the biggest names in the game.

Shepard Fairey / Obey Giant.

Banksy.

Again it was really great to be able to see the work up close and personal.

One of the highlights of the show is this painting by South African artist Ello. With the majority of the international working consisting of screenprints, it was really rad seeing original work.

Faith 47 pushing boundaries.

This is a painting that has to be seen in person. Truly amazing.

Jade Doreen Waller, another local artist, representing with this mixed media sculpture.

Capetonian DJ, Remy Gold, checking out one of the Mr Brainwash pieces.

Two really nice skateboards by Jade Waller.

This screenprint by BLU is super, super rad.

The devil is in the detail.

Some stoked looking gallery-creepers getting interviewed in front of this screenprinted skateboard by renowned South Africa artist, Norman Catherine.

Nick Walker screenprint.

Another really rad sculpture, by South African street / graffiti / fine artist Motel 7.

The London Police.

Absolutely mind blowing painting by Motel 7.

There was also a screening of the controversial film, Exit Through the Gift Shop. If you have seen it, this photo becomes quite interesting.

This show is well worth seeing in person. It will be running until the 19th of November. For more details, go here.
