MOVIE PREMIER NIGHT AT WOODSTOCK INDUSTRIAL CENTRE

Movie-NightCheck out the screening of these two really amazing local videos this Friday, 4 December from 8pm to 11pm at Word of Art (Woodstock Industrial Centre) in Cape Town.

EPITAPH:

Rowan Pybus, Faith47 and Inge Beckman worked closely to produce this short video piece.

Epitaph is an exploration of lost spaces entered through sounds and images to reveal the echoes of empty rooms, flakes of paint, swollen curves, fragile lines, stories hidden n the flat colors broken apart by wood and steel.

Epitaph is the third in a series and they will be screening all three videos including The Restless Debt of Third World Beauty and The Cape of Good Hope.

Please take some time out to vote for this video HERE in the Babelgum Metropolis Art Prize competition.

VIA THE BACKROADS:

Based on traveling through South Africa, Swaziland and Mozambique. A group of 10 guys, consisting of 5 skateboarders, 4 BMXers and 1 filmer braving the back roads to explore new spots of BMX and skating interest. They promoted their respected disciplines by taking it to towns and areas never before exposed to BMX or skateboarding.

This exploration adventure took them to more than just new spots. They met people that were open-minded to their lifestyles. In cities people would prejudge skateboarders and BMXers as vandals or troublemakers. In places like Swaziland, Mthata and Fort Hare they were welcomed with open arms.

When: 8pm – 11pm, Friday, 4 December
Where: Word of Art, Woodstock Industrial Centre, 66 Albert Road, Woodstock, Cape Town.
Afterparty: Albert Hall, Woodstock, Cape Town.

Via The Backroads is supported by RVCA, which is available through all Revolution stores:
