ABOUT REVOLUTION
[R]evolution can be viewed as an initiative to encourage and initiate change. Activist at its core [R]evolution is about creating, evolving and empowering. We aim to spread a DIY ethos to encourage people to build a better future for themselves. “Invest In Yourself” sums it up. [R]evolution is a brand that encompasses these fundamentals, and using skateboarding, music, and art as a medium through which to we can spread this message on a national scale
[R]evolution Canvas is a collaborative initiative to encourage and promote a positive change within society. Activist at its core [R]evolution is about creating, evolving, and empowering. We aim to spread a DIY ethos to encourage people to build a better future for them selves. As movement rather than a product, we strive to work with like-minded artists in a collective effort to educate and empower the youth of South Africa. Working with artists to make their art accessible to the youth, and in turn providing a platform to get their message across. Art is a medium that has no borders or boundaries, and by working together we can spread the message of change far and wide.
Music Saved My Life is a [R]evolution based initiative which uses music to uplift local communities and ‘save’ the lives of others. The project allows bands, venues, promoters and individuals that love music to actively support projects that aim to provide basic needs to underprivileged communities and individuals.
MSML generates funds through affiliation programs with artists, venues and donations from the public. The collection of funds is filtered though a transparent process open to the public, allowing supporters to see the end result of their support and contributions. The funds generated from the initiative are used to buy supplies for certified charities and projects that support disadvantaged individuals, ensuring that all funds donated are directly received.
